Growing up in New York, art covering the walls of my childhood home, visiting museums and art shows regularly and working summers in the fine art framing world, I got hooked on photography the day I saw the results of my July 4, 1976 U.S. bicentennial “OPSAIL” celebration in New York City.

My eye for what makes a photo a piece of art began to develop in college where I had more credits in studio and art history classes than in my major. My photographic journey picked up again when I joined the Crosstown Camera Club in 2007 where I found a community of beginners, amateurs and professionals learning to be better photographers.

My other work as a Clinical Social Worker, helps me connect with the world through a deep appreciation of emotion and meaningful moments as well as helps put my subjects at ease as we tell their story through images.
